AWA es un proyecto a la escucha de las aguas en su circulación, transformaciones y procesos, a través de cruces y relaciones entre prácticas somáticas ligadas a la salud y las ciencias de la Tierra. Reconocemos al agua como un organismo vivo en permanente movimiento, lo cual implica constatar su fuerza transgresora de los límites entre cuerpos, su capacidad para moldear y ser moldeada mediante relaciones de intimidad y roce a escalas corporales, geológicas, moleculares. Humedecer la escucha, el pensamiento y las membranas, lo proponemos como un ejercicio para atender a la vitalidad de las conexiones líquidas que desdibujan contornos, filtran la materia, canalizan memorias, y extrañan nuestras participaciones dentro un extenso sistema hidrológico. &nbsp; Nos aproximamos al agua como una geografía en constante resistencia y metamorfosis, una geografía viscosa en ensamblaje con una multiplicidad de otras fuerzas, que hace emerger relaciones de contaminación y afecto entre fisiologías, geologías, anatomías, fenómenos climáticos, y que entrelaza a la vez dimensiones materiales, emocionales, físicas, espirituales, sonoras, entre otras. Una entidad liminal por la que transitan energías vivas. Un portal de la memoria que transporta señales, vibraciones e informaciones milenarias. El agua nos invita a interrogar las nociones de tiempo, linealidad, escala e individualidad, y sitúa nuestra atención en su compleja trama ecológica. Durante el proceso creativo, colaboramos con personas de ámbitos de la danza, prácticas y medicinas corporales, así como con científicxs vinculadxs al medioambiente, climatología y geología glacial, para articular diálogos, especular y poner en tensión y relación perspectivas somáticas y ecológicas en torno a las aguas que nos componen, atraviesan y sostienen, habilitando prácticas, laboratorios, cápsulas sonoras y dispositivos concebidos como tecnologías de conciencia para el cuidado y regeneración de cuerpos-ecosistemas. Esta propuesta da continuidad a HAMMAM, proyecto dirigido por Javiera Peón-Veiga y co-creado con Natalia Ramírez Püschel, Rodrigo Sobarzo, Claudio Muñoz y Antonia Peón-Veiga, estrenado en noviembre 2021 en NAVE Centro de Creación y Residencia, Santiago de Chile. &nbsp;* AWA is a research and creation project listening to waters in their circulation, transformations and processes, through intersections and relationships between somatic practices linked to health and Earth sciences. &nbsp; We recognize water as a living organism in permanent movement, which implies acknowledging its transgressive force of the limits between bodies, its capacity to shape and be shaped through relationships of intimacy and friction at bodily, geological, and molecular scales. CUSTODIANDO LA OSCURIDAD: lectura nocturna de TECNO HUMEDALNAVE /28 Jul 2022 (Santiago, Chile) TECNO HUMEDAL es un proyecto a la escucha de la circulación y los procesos del agua en el planeta, mediante el estudio de 3 tecnologías desarrolladas en el territorio chileno asociadas a la captación, filtración y almacenamiento de agua, que se presentan como respuestas a la crisis hídrica: atrapanieblas, humedales artificiales y estupas de hielo o glaciares artificiales. TECNO hace referencia a tecnología y HUMEDAL a húmedo, así como a humedal o ecosistema que absorbe, almacena y depura agua. Estas ‘tecnologías húmedas’, o bien, tecnologías que procesan y transforman el agua para la regeneración ecosistémica, serán exploradas en terreno a través del intercambio con los diversos centros de investigación que las llevan adelante. Cada tecnología está asociada a la circulación y ecología del agua en un ecosistema específico: Atrapanieblas / CamanchacaHumedales artificiales / HumedalEstupas de hielo / Glaciar Desde una perspectiva somática y científica, abordamos al agua como un organismo vivo en permanente movimiento y materialidad constitutiva de nuestros cuerpos, relacionando estos procesos en una escala corporal y planetaria. En tanto cuerpos y planeta constituidos en gran parte por agua, podemos considerarnos como tecnologías húmedas, inestables, transicionales, en las que el agua –una entidad no-local– transita, circula, se transforma, entra y deja cuerpos, acarreando materialidades que dan forma y vida a una multiplicidad de paisajes. El agua, también, acarrea una inteligencia milenaria, y como tal, ha desarrollado evolutivamente estrategias para adherirse, enlazarse, cambiar de estado, tomar diversas formas y dar morfología a otros cuerpos, siempre en vínculo con la geografía, el clima, los diversos agentes atmosféricos y las condiciones medioambientales. Es por esto que podemos abordarla como una tecnología de la naturaleza que propició condiciones para la vida y que desde entonces sigue transformándola. Estas 3 tecnologías en las que se sustenta TECNO HUMEDAL, las que recuperan técnicas ancestrales que han incorporado la inteligencia de la naturaleza y sus propias estrategias de sobrevivencia, son de alguna manera artefactos ‘portales’ que conectan micro y macro escalas relativas al comportamiento del agua. Lo que nos llama la atención es el tratamiento del agua que opera en cada una de ellas, determinado por su estrecho vínculo con sus entornos. Podemos imaginarlas como tecnologías alquímicas transmutadoras del agua, como filtros u organismos-máquinas cuya base de funcionamiento es la circulación, procesamiento y transformación del agua; tecnologías análogas que funcionan solo a través de la fuerza gravitacional, cambios de presión y variaciones de temperatura para ejercer sus acciones. Tomando como punto de partida estas 3 tecnologías, el proyecto desea especular, imaginar, delirar y abrir interrogantes acerca de los diversos procesos que habilitan la circulación y permanencia temporal de las aguas a toda escala, planteando perspectivas críticas y poéticas ligadas al cuidado y lenguaje del agua, la sobrevivencia y los desafíos socioambientales que nos atraviesan hoy. TECNO HUMEDAL se desprende del proyecto HAMMAM, que junto al mismo equipo desarrollamos desde el 2019. El 2025 el proyecto es invitado a realizar una performance a la 17 Bienal de Artes Mediales, en la que se despliega un paisaje de tecnologías húmedas que encarnan procesos de regeneración y resistencia. A la escucha de los secretos que secretan las aguas, se hace el ejercicio de imaginar geografías húmedas en transición que absorben, almacenan, filtran, desbordan y contaminan un microclima que respira al ritmo de la fuerza de gravedad, los cambios de presión y las variaciones de temperatura. Una red de relaciones lentas al pulso del lenguaje de un humedal de hielo y vapor, al borde del frío, al borde del calor.&nbsp; Bañar colectivamente los estados de atención y desenfocar los límites En SEDA indagamos en la saliva y otras viscosidades como materialidades para preguntarnos sobre el adentro y el afuera, sobre la tensión y la dilatación de los fluidos internos, su tránsito hacia espacios exteriores y su transformación en otras formas de existencia. En el estudio de esta materialidad observamos los insectos que construyen con sus babas una arquitectura sensible y vibracional. Y así llegamos al plástico, un “mineral” antropogénico, un residuo en el paisaje que da cuenta de nuestra presencia en la Tierra, un material sin límites con el que convivimos incluso hasta dentro de nuestros mismos cuerpos, y que nos permite tensar preguntas acerca del continuo naturaleza-cultura, orgánico-inorgánico, líquido-seco. SEDA consiste en una red vibracional que es afectada mediante el contacto táctil entre cuerpos, sonoridades, secreciones y tensiones plásticas, en una escucha circular que va conectando hebras visibles e invisibles. Éste es un proyecto de investigación y creación transdisciplinar que genera cruces entre danza, arte sonoro, performance y escritura, desarrollando piezas en diversos formatos, como cápsulas sonoras, una publicación editorial, una performance de danza, prácticas corporales y conciertos vaporosos. Hammam es una palabra árabe que significa ‘esparcidor de calor’, y tiene relación con espacios sociales de baño y limpieza del cuerpo y el espíritu mediante el vapor. En HAMMAM creamos ambientes húmedos y exploramos el baño como fenómeno colectivo de purga, regeneración y práctica social de sanación en donde frotamos los límites entre lo íntimo y lo público. Deseamos mover la conciencia hacia ese borde borroso entre el adentro y el afuera de nuestros cuerpos; somos cuerpo y entorno a la vez, estamos dentro y fuera simultáneamente. En tanto cuerpos permeables que derramamos, absorbemos y estamos atravesados por fuerzas promiscuas de informaciones y residuos en diversas escalas, nos dedicamos a cultivar prácticas y frecuencias que nos conecten con el ecosistema entrelazado, interdependiente y co-emergente del que formamos parte. En HAMMAM nos relacionamos con el vapor y el sonido como cuerpos medioambientales que nos ayudan a sentir y pensar la experiencia somática y el movimiento en baja definición. Nos aproximamos al vapor y sonido como medios de con-tacto, materialidades conectoras y contenedoras inestables con poderes táctiles y trans-mutadores entre lo material y lo inmaterial. Hammam is an Arabic word that means ‘spreader of warmth’, and is related to social spaces for bathing and cleaning the body and spirit through steam. At HAMMAM we create humid environments and explore the ‘bath’ as a collective phenomenon of purge, regeneration and social healing practice where we rub the boundaries between the intimate and the public. We want to move consciousness towards that blurred border between the inside and outside of our bodies; we are body and environment at the same time, we are inside and outside simultaneously. As permeable bodies that we spill, absorb and are traversed by promiscuous forces of information and residues on various scales, we dedicate ourselves to cultivating practices and frequencies that connect us with the intertwined, interdependent and co-emerging ecosystem that we are part of. At HAMMAM we relate to vapor and sound as environmental bodies that help us to feel and think about somatic experience and movement in low definition. We approach vapor and sound as means of contact, unstable connecting and container materialities with tactile and trans-mutating powers between the material and the immaterial. Es una pieza que trata de activar los afectos como fuerzas transformadoras y los sonidos como fuerzas movilizadoras, transmisoras, detonando experiencias inmersivas donde lo íntimo y lo colectivo se tocan y suenan a la vez. El sonido toca, atraviesa, cambia y altera los ambientes, entornos, membranas, superficies, órganos, sistemas, interiores y exteriores. El sonido pulsa. El sonido percute. Atraviesa. Y entra. Y produce cambios. Y esos cambios producen otros cambios. Y excita el espacio. ¿Cómo ocurre esto? ¿Cómo puede ocurrir esto? ¿Cómo poder meterse en esos tránsitos oscilantes y escurridizos que modifican invisiblemente la química de los cuerpos y el espacio relacional entre ellos? Quizás se trate de sintonizar más y más con la continuidad de la materia, con lo que existe entre, lo entre los cuerpos, lo entre las cosas, los poderes ocultos, el aura, las energías, los campos electromagnéticos, con ese hilo que une las cosas. Quizá se trate de tender más hacia la disolución de los límites entre los adentros y afueras. Y acoplarse en medio de esos bordes difusos. Y estar más en el encuentro entre cuerpos. En el movimiento que va más allá de los cuerpos individuales. En la capacidad de conectar y conectar-se. De movilizarse por transmisión afectiva. And it produces changes. And those changes produce other changes. And excites the space. How does this happen? How can this happen? How to get into those oscillating and elusive transits that invisibly modify the chemistry of bodies and the relational space between them? Perhaps it is about tuning more and more with the continuity of matter, with what exists in between, between bodies, between things, with hidden powers, aura, energies, electromagnetic fields, with that thread that unites things. Perhaps it is a question of tending more towards the dissolution of the limits between inside and outside. And dock in the middle of those fuzzy edges. And be more in the encounter between bodies. GONG podría ser un concierto de danza, un masaje sonoro, una sesión terapéutica, una zona de pausa, una siesta psicodélica, un sistema inter-vibratorio, un mantra, una meditación, una herramienta de sanación, un entorno de vibraciones espaciales, una celebración. Este proyecto explora el potencial de afección del sonido sobre la fisiología y composición del cuerpo. A través del gong –instrumento de percusión milenario que conduce a poderosos niveles de meditación y sanación–, se realizan sesiones diarias donde lxs participantes están invitadxs a tener una experiencia corporal inmersiva de escucha, siendo tocadxs, masajeadxs y movidxs por la vibración del sonido. El ejercicio en GONG es el de activar estados de conectividad y sincronización de la materia, movimiento entre los cuerpos: habilitar un microclima con afectos especiales y efectos espaciales.GONG se ha realizado en 3 ocasiones y, según cada contexto, ha propuesto un trabajo corporal focalizado a través del conjunto de sesiones periódicas:&gt; NAVE 2017Durante 7 días se realizaron 7 sesiones de GONG y se trabajó sobre los chakras o centros de energía del cuerpo que reciben, transforman y distribuyen la energía vital –7 de los chakras corresponden a áreas del sistema glandular o a plexos nerviosos en el cuerpo físico, y el octavo corresponde al aura o campo magnético del cuerpo–. Cada sesión fue diferente, por lo que la partitura sonora de cada día se compuso con el fin de activar un chakra en particular.&gt; NAVE 2016Durante 5 días se realizaron 5 sesiones de GONG y se trabajó sobre el balance de los 4 elementos –Tierra, Agua, Fuego, Aire. La partitura sonora de cada sesión fue compuesta con el fin de activar cada elemento en particular, y en la quinta sesión se trabajó sobre la fusión de estos.&gt; ESPACIOS REVELADOS / TEATRO NOVEDADES 2016 Durante 9 días se realizaron 9 sesiones de GONG y se trabajó sobre los chakras o centros de energía del cuerpo. Cada sesión fue diferente, por lo que la partitura sonora de cada día se compuso con el fin de activar un chakra en particular y su integración global en el cuerpo. *GONG could be a dance concert, a sound massage, a therapeutic session, a pause zone, a psychedelic nap, an inter-vibratory system, a mantra, a meditation, a healing tool, an environment of spatial vibrations, a celebration. Each session was different, so the sound score for each day was composed in order to activate a particular chakra. &gt; NAVE 2016 During 5 days, 5 GONG sessions were held and work was done on the balance of the 4 elements –Earth, Water, Fire, Air. Este solo forma parte del proyecto BARCO Dance Collection, iniciado y bailado por Dinis Machado, quien invita a diversxs coreógrafxs a dirigir un solo para él, terminando el 2017 con una serie de solos que son presentados como una colección de danzas. HUM es una danza que nace desde la respiración y propone un ritual de purga en un tránsito desde el suelo hacia el cielo, pasando por estados intermedios entre la posición de cuatro apoyos y la bípeda.BARCO Dance Collection es una colección de danzas en lugar de una colección de performances de danza (en el sentido interdisciplinario de una performance escénica donde la luz, el sonido, la escenografóa y el vestuario construyen algo juntos). La propuesta para lxs coreógrafxs es pensar que el espacio donde suceden estas danzas no es la habitación en la que estamos sino dentro del propio cuerpo. Se invita a lxs coreógrafxs a crear danzas que se puedan realizar en cualquier lugar. Siendo la condición performativa de la práctica de la danza en su mayor parte inmaterial, como un mapa, esta colección es también una reunión de prácticas en lugar de los objetos que la rodean.
