PESO MUERTO es la puesta en escena de la primera etapa del Proyecto Entropía, una investigación sobre la muerte. A partir de la pregunta de cómo el sistema económico actual nos deja morir (necropolítica), la obra indaga en la transformación de la materia (cambios de estado, procesos de descomposición y desintegración) a través de un diálogo con la ciencia desde el estudio celular y el fenómeno físico. Por otra parte, cuestiona sociopolíticamente el vínculo de la muerte con el espectáculo.

El proceso creativo de PESO MUERTO es una constelación de encuentros sin lugar fijo más que el inesperado complejo de huellas que co-emergen entre los movimientos, pensamientos y sentimientos de lxs integrantes del equipo, desvelando una performance imposible de lo que se conoce como muerte, y un espacio de derecho para recoger la idea del morir desde la materia viva y la relación con los cuerpos, sus formas, presencias, diluciones y vibraciones.

Lxs artistas han sido acompañadxs en el proceso de lecturas de autorxs como: Jean Luc Nancy, Enrique Lihn, Byung-Chul Han, Pedro Achondo, Achille Mbembe, Violeta Parra, entre otrxs.

Esta creación se inscribe dentro del proyecto Constelaciones, iniciado por Le Quartz – Escena Nacional de Brest, Francia. Constelaciones es una red de residencias coreográficas internacionales entre cinco ciudades del mundo, en lugares que se caracterizan por el acompañamiento artístico y por una propuesta curatorial, en la que participan Le Quartz – Escena Nacional de Brest (Francia), NAVE – Santiago (Chile), Al Mantara – Tannourine (Líbano), KET – Atenas (Grecia), Fabrik – Potsdam (Alemania).

PESO MUERTO (DEAD WEIGHT) is the staging of the first phase of Entropy Project, an investigation into death. Starting from the question of how the current economic system allows us to die (necropolitics), the work investigates the transformation of matter (changes of state, processes of decomposition and disintegration) through a dialogue with science from the cellular study and the physical phenomenon. On the other hand, sociopolitically questions the link between death and entertainment.

The creative process of PESO MUERTO is a constellation of encounters without a fixed place rather than the unexpected complex of traces that co-emerge between the movements, thoughts and feelings of the members of the team, revealing an impossible performance of what is known as death, and a legal space to collect the idea of dying from living matter and the relationship with bodies, their forms, presences, dilutions and vibrations.

The artists have been accompanied along the process by readings from authors such as: Jean Luc Nancy, Enrique Lihn, Byung-Chul Han, Pedro Achondo, Achille Mbembe, Violeta Parra, among others.

This creation is part of Constellations project, initiated by Le Quartz – National Scene of Brest, France. Constellations is a network of international choreographic residencies between five cities around the world, in places characterized by artistic accompaniment and a curatorial proposal, in which participate Le Quartz – National Scene of Brest (France), NAVE – Santiago (Chile), Al Mantara – Tannourine (Lebanon), KET – Athens (Greece), Fabrik – Potsdam (Germany).
